Philosophy

From the Director - Ms. Jing

My teaching philosophy as an early childhood educator is based on the idea that children are capable of directing their own learning experiences. Children learn most effectively when they are actively engaged in the learning process and have a voice in what they learn.

I regard myself as a facilitator and co-learner in children’s learning. A combination of structured and unstructured activities, as well as chances for both personal and group learning, are what I try to offer.

As an educator, I also believe in the power of observation and documentation to inform their teaching practices. I observe children's interests, abilities, and developmental progress, and use this information to plan learning experiences that are engaging, challenging, and meaningful.

I advocate open dialogue and teamwork with families because I think parents and other caregivers are crucial to a child's education. I work closely with families and caregivers to create a supportive learning community that fosters a sense of belonging and connection. Children are encouraged to work together, share ideas, and learn from each other.

In summary, my teaching philosophy emphasizes the child-centered approach and I seek to create a supportive and engaging learning environment that fosters children's natural curiosity and love of learning, while also promoting their cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
